Fees

Perpetual fees are Hyperliquid's, read live for your own account. The app prices the fee before the order is placed rather than after it fills.

Maker and taker #

Two rates, depending on which side of the spread your order lands on. A maker adds resting liquidity to the book; a taker crosses the spread to fill against what is already there. At Hyperliquid's base tier:

  • 0.015%

    Maker, base tier

  • 0.045%

    Taker, base tier

  • Your own rate

Read from Hyperliquid for your account

The trade panel works out which side your order will land on — a market order and a crossing limit are taker; a post-only order can only ever be maker — and shows the fee before you place it.

Volume tiers #

Both rates fall with volume, measured over a rolling 14 days. Rather than reprint a schedule that can change, the app reads Hyperliquid's published tier table live and shows it in full, beside your own current rate and your own 14-day volume — so what you are looking at is the live schedule, not a copy of it.

The builder fee #

Hyperliquid lets a front end add a builder fee on top of the venue's own, collected with it. On Oddsy this is configurable: it may be off entirely, and when it is on, the rate in force is shown to you.

How it appears

Its own line, and inside the all-in figure

  • It is broken out as its own line in the fee breakdown, never folded silently into the venue's rate.
  • When it is on, it is included in the all-in figure the trade panel shows, so the total is the total.
  • It is approved once per account, by that account itself, and the approval records a ceiling.
  • If that approval does not go through, the order is placed without the builder fee rather than failing.

Other costs #

Fees on a fill are not the only money that leaves. Moving funds costs something too, and it is quoted on the screen where it applies.

  • The transactions you sign on Avalanche carry that chain's own network cost.
  • Relay charges for the route it quotes; the fee and the expected delivery are both shown before you sign.
  • Perpetuals carry funding between longs and shorts, as the venue applies it.
The maker and taker figures above are Hyperliquid's base tier. Your own rate is whatever the app reads for your account, which is the number to trade against.
